    We are currently seeking a On Premise Specialty Sales Manager to support Florida working out of our Miami office. 

     

    We are looking for dedicated and self-motivated individuals who are passionate about the Craft Beer Industry! The position will ensure that Brown Distributing is the industry leader in the Specialty and Craft beer segment by ensuring professional sales/service by the Specialty Sales Team and keeping an emphasis on building key market relationships. To focus on growing high volume accounts along with prospecting and opening new retail accounts.

    Responsibilities

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • This position will manage the Specialty team to include Team Leader, Sales Reps and Merchandisers.

    Sales Management

    • Responsible for sales performance and volume, revenue and gross profit growth of all BDC brands in the specialty segment
    • Manage the ordering and execution processes for the Specialty team to ensure the following:
      • Correct orders are submitted
      • Ensure sales reps take inventory at each account
      • Ensure sales reps follow structured sales route daily
      • Minimize Out of Stock situations
      • Minimize Out of Code occurrences
      • Eliminate unnecessary off-day deliveries
      • Meet order cut-off times
    • Review sales trend, package features, and promotion/display opportunities with TL’s weekly
    • Communicate as needed with sales personnel and all other related departments
    • Manage the BDC Specialty standards ensuring all programs are fully executed on a weekly basis
    • Conduct weekly huddles with direct reports and monthly sales meetings with entire team
    • Ensure team participates and gives maximum effort in all specialty incentives and PFP

    Administrative Responsibilities

    • Provide training and skill development for each direct report
    • Ensure training plans for entire sales team are completed
    • Ensuring yearly performance evaluations are completed in timely manner
    • All other administrative responsibilities as required by the Director of Specialty Sales
    • Approve and track all vacation/personal day requests through ADP
    • Approve all direct reports expense reports ensuring they are coded correctly.

    Qualifications

    • Exhibit passion for the beer industry, new products and industry history
    • Communicate product messages to industry professionals and consumers with passion and eloquence
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to multi-task and handle daily deadlines
    • Excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to coach, train and develop specialty sales team
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Word, and Excel and Power Point
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
    • Ability to be proficient in Encompass
    • Thoroughly understand pricing, PTC management, margin and mark-up

    Education and/or Experience

    • Four year Bachelor’s degree (B.A.); or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • A minimum of one year experience in beer distribution management
    • 2-3 years minimum management experience
