We are seeking a career-minded Sales Assistant for our Richmond territory. This is a fun relationship-driven business that requires sales ability, dedication, and exceptional servicing skills.


This position will give you the opportunity to grow with a leader in the wholesale beverage industry, as well as contribute to our continued growth in the market.  



Monday - Friday



Starting Pay: $42,000/year

Vehicle Allowance $550/month

Phone Allowance $15/month


When a sales route becomes available, you will then shift into a commission based structure with performance goal bonuses, along with phone and vehicle allowance tailored to the route. 


The individual will spend 6-8 weeks in a training program preparing them for an opportunity to get a Full Time Sales Representative position.

Responsibilities of the Sales Assistant include successfully completing a comprehensive training program covering, but not limited to:

  • Warehouse
  • Delivery
  • Craft Department
  • Sales – On Premise, Convenience and Grocery


Upon completion of the training, until you are assigned a route, you will be responsible for providing route coverage when an assigned Sales Representative is on vacation. Also to provide sales support in the BDC market by working with Sales Representatives handling Point of Sale "POS" and other marketing materials, assisting in account resets, etc. Other responsibilities are:


  • Maximize distribution of all brands and packages as well as secure the best possible selling position for our products within our sales department.
  • Execute company strategies and tactics utilizing marketing tools and practices.
  • Assist in development of new customer and market growth.
  • Ensure constant communications with key customers decision makers to optimize our relationship.
  • Keep current with all industry and market information.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
  • Have a sense of urgency and commitment as well as an ability and desire to make things happen.
  • An ability to work effectively in a commission environment. 
  • Build relationships with key decision makers
  • Other duties based on business need and as assigned by management.




  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years related customer service and/or sales experience
  • Beer knowledge preferred
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license is required with no negative points, no DUI convictions or pending DUI convictions, no moving violations in the last 3 years
  • Must be able to communicate comfortably with all customers
  • Ability to consistently and repetitively lift up to 45lbs
