We are seeking a career-minded Sales Assistant for our Richmond territory. This is a fun relationship-driven business that requires sales ability, dedication, and exceptional servicing skills.

Monday - Friday

Start time: 5am-8am depending on department

Compensation:

Starting Pay: $48,000/year

Vehicle Allowance $550/month

Phone Allowance $15/month

When a sales route becomes available, you will then shift into a commission based structure with performance goal bonuses, along with phone and vehicle allowance tailored to the route. 

Assistant Sales Representative position is expected to provide coverage of sales routes for all three sales divisions, Convenience, Grocery & On Premise Sales. Provide superior service and to maximize all sales opportunities on covered routes while learning and continually improving their sales skills. 

Upon completion of the training, until you are assigned a route, you will be responsible for providing route coverage when an assigned Sales Representative is on vacation, brewery ride with, team sells, or any other given time a representative is not on their assigned route. Also to provide sales support in the BDC market by working with Sales Representatives handling Point of Sale "POS" and other marketing materials, assisting in account resets, market surveys, etc. Other responsibilities are:

• Maximize distribution of all brands and packages as well as secure the best possible selling position for our products within our sales department.
• Execute company strategies and tactics utilizing marketing tools and practices.
• Assist in development of new customer and market growth.
• Ensure constant communications with key customers decision makers to optimize our relationship.
• Keep current with all industry and market information.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
• Have a sense of urgency and commitment as well as an ability and desire to make things happen.
• Sell-in and execute all authorized promotions.
• Sell sufficient product inventory to eliminate out-of-stock situations.
• Complete all necessary market surveys as requested by department
• Maintain and increase shelf facings for all BDC products
• Rotate products in all areas (coolers, backrooms, displays, and warm shelf)
• Build relationships with key decision makers
• Other duties based on business need and as assigned by management.

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years related customer service and/or sales experience
• Beer knowledge preferred
• Valid Real ID Virginia driver’s license is required with no negative points, no DUI convictions or pending DUI convictions, no moving violations in the last 3 years
• Must be able to communicate comfortably with all customers
• Ability to consistently and repetitively lift up to 45lbs
